Smt. Desai Linggi is a professional Social worker and women & child rights activist hailing from Cheta-II Roing, Lower Dibang Valley Arunachal Pradesh, India. She has completed  her education from Convent School, Doomdooma and Don Bosco Bible School , Hijuguri. Thereafter, she joined Divine Word of School as an Assistant Teacher.

In 2002, She Initiated a small Hostel of mid-size range hostel named “Nani Maria Hostel”. As things started getting better and bigger, this paved a way for her to start a school of her own Nani Maria Kinder Garten School” presently known as “Nani Maria School” . This was her milestone and presently various activities for destitute women and orphan children are being taken up by the Nani Maria Society.

• Nani Maria Children Home for the “Children in Need of Care and Protection” (CNCP)
• “Specialized Adoption Centre” (SAA) for the adoption of the children, where they identify the children victimized by abandonment and are left to be orphan.
• “ After Care Home” for Rehabilitation and social integration of young adults who leave institutional Child Care System on attaining 18 years of age till, they reach 21.
• Secondary School “Nani Maria School” (NMS) which is resolute to provide a sound and quality education by cultivating in the students, good values, virtue, and discipline.
